Just Ask for It!

"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."  James 1:5

Alyssa and Kyle are in the throws of school and homework.  It's amazing the things they are learning, and how much I have forgotten since my school days.  Kyle happens to have tests every week on the past Presidents of the United States, their political party and what year's they served in office.  Whew.  Each week another 5 Presidents get added, and the list gets longer and longer.

God is growing up our children in wisdom.  Every day they are learning and stretching those little minds of theirs.  I pray that they not only learn the "facts" they need to know for school, but as they grow they also become wise in their faith and knowledge of Him.  That's a precious kind of wisdom.

All they have to do is ask for it!

Lord, your word promises that if anyone lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.  I pray that Alyssa and Kyle ask for the wisdom that they need, for the daily issues of life, but also the spiritual and emotional issues that they face day to day.  Your wisdom is a precious gift.  Thank you, Father, for filling our minds with you.
