Dependent Decision Makers

Today's verse:  "The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple."  Psalm 119:130

Decisions, decisions, decisions. Life is full of them.  Big ones.  Little ones.  Difficult ones.  Even some fun ones.  Choices to make everywhere.

As my kids get older they will come across the need to make more and more important decisions that impact their lives in huge ways..

Summer jobs.
     Colleges.
          Careers.
               Spouses
                     ...Just to name a few.

God and His Word will be their greatest source of guidance and leading.  It will shed light on His plan for each of their lives.  As they seek God's leading, they will find it.  His Spirit will even speak into their ear, "this is the way, walk in it."

All my children have to do is open it's pages, do a little digging, and  pray that God speaks to them.  What a wonderful gift to help lead them to make the best decisions of their lives.

Oh Lord, I know that you have great plans for my children's lives.  All their days have been planned for them before they were even born.  I know that your designs for their lives are greater than I can ever begin to imagine.  I trust you, dear Jesus, with their lives because they are your children and you love them in amazing ways.  Be near them, Lord, as they make decisions throughout their lives...even in the small choices they have to make.  Speak your wisdom to them in clear and beautiful ways.  I pray that they learn that your Word holds the answers to all their questions, concerns, and worries.  When they come across life changing choices, and have to choose whether to go to the right or to the left, may they come to your Word and find your hand of guidance.  The unfolding of your words gives light, and gives us the understanding we need.  Oh, what a precious gift!
