Lord, it's so easy to go out on our own, and make life plans without consulting you. We follow our desires, and seek to fulfill our wants and dreams, while failing to ask you for direction, guidance or affirmation for our plans. Sometimes the journey we choose without waiting for your instruction is filled with roadblocks, difficult consequences, and stress. I pray, dear Jesus, that Alyssa and Kyle will learn to consult you when making plans for their lives. As they consider future careers,colleges, life mates, may they seek you for wisdom, direction, and affirmation. Lord, thank you for the rest they will experience in their souls when they live according to your plan for their lives. Fill them with your joy, Lord, when they choose to walk your paths...even when the road looks hard. I look forward to watching your will be done, and seeing your beautiful plan play out in our children's lives. You will do great things through them as they choose to follow you.
