A Kind Word

"Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up."  Proverbs 12:25

Kyle and I were hustling and bustling around yesterday, just having survived a wild trip to Walmart.  (The closer we get to Christmas the crazier the stores get, I'll tell you.)  As we were heading to the next store, and surfing through the busy traffic, a song came over the radio that I recently sang at church with a group of gals.  So we both started singing along.

As it hit the last refrain of the song, he made some remark of having a "weird" experience when we sang that part of the song at church.  He said that he felt like he had been "hit in the back" and then shivers went all up and down his arms.

Oh, how his words blessed my heart.  Kind words have a power like no other!

Lord, teach Alyssa and Kyle to use kind words to cheer the hearts of others in their lives.  Your Word even says that sweet words are healing to the bonesI pray that Alyssa and Kyle's lips always glorify you, and bless your children.
