Wake Up, Dear Children

"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed."  Mark 1:35

Summer vacation has begun.

"All the people came early in the morning to hear him at the temple.  Luke 21:38

Sleeping in is the "theme of our song" this week.

"On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb."  Luke 24:1

I think I'm finding myself getting
TeNSe
already about
the laziness of summer.

"Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus."  John 21:4

Important things can happen early in the morning!

Quiet time with the Lord.

Sweet communion with the Savior.

Important tasks that lead to God's best for our lives.

So, wake up, dear children!!!

Lord, your mercies are new each morning, but my kids are missing out on them (ha!).  I pray that Lyssa and Kyle learn the sweetness of meeting with you in the quiet of the morning.  May they face each day knowing that you are Lord over all and you hold all things together.  Help Alyssa and Kyle to not always live as sluggards, but rise each day ready to use their hands to work hard and bring you glory in all that they do.  May they rise each day to meet with you, give you praise, and live their lives according to your plan.  Thank you, Lord, for being Lord over each day!
