“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’" Acts 17:24-28
This is one of my favorite songs. It became my favorite one summer as my mom taught us the song on our vacation at the Oregon coast. Oh the memories are sweet. But the words are sweeter. I listened to it this week, I realized how fitting it would be for a "Salvation Saturday" post. May it be a sweet, sweet song in your ear.
Wonderful merciful Savior
Precious redeemer and friend Who would have thought that a lamb could
Rescue the souls of men, Oh You rescue the souls of men
Counselor, comforter, keeper
Spirit we long to embrace
You offer hope when our hearts have
Hopelessly lost the way, Oh we hopelessly lost the way
You are the One that we praise
You are the One we adore
You give the healing and grace our
Hearts always hunger for, Oh our hearts always hunger for
Almighty infinite father
Faithfully loving Your own
Herein our weakness You find us
Falling before Your throne, Oh we're falling before Your throne.
Lord, you are God and you made the world and everything in it. You are the Lord of heaven and earth and do not live in temples built by hands. Oh how I pray that Alyssa and Kyle will seek you and reach out for you and find you, though you are not far from them. For in you they live and move and have their being. Be Alyssa and Kyle's Savior, their friend, and their everlasting life!
