No Sluggards Allowed!

The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns,
but the path of the upright is a highway."
Proverbs 15:19

Lyssa (2009)

School is back in session. Spring break has finished.  I think we are all a bit bummed. Now we are on the down hill slide to graduation and  summer vacation.

So with "spring fever" upon us, my prayer is that Alyssa and Kyle remember the lesson that if you don't work ahead on your homework, and wait until the day before it's due, life can get a bit crazy.  You have to do that when you're taking Calculus, World Literature, or Environmental Science.

I love it when I get wind that the kids are working on something that is due "next week".  (It doesn't happen often, but I can pray for that to become more the norm!)

No sluggards here please!

Lord, thank you for the continued work you're doing in Alyssa and Kyle's life.  They are growing into strong and wise young adults.  Please continue to help them learn responsibility, discipline and perseverance in their work and commitments.  Replace any tendency to be a sluggard, and live lazy, with an urgency to do all that they need to do, when they need to do it.  For even when Alyssa and Kyle are working for men, they are working for you!
